This listing is for WHITE 3mm acrylic bobbins with our signature colour swatch. Say goodbye to the frustration of stickers falling off as the numbers are printed directly on the bobbins.
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
- You will receive a total of 529 bobbins - this is made up of the current 500 DMC colours, 24 discontinued colours, plus a duplicate bobbin for White, B5200, Ecru and 310.
The x24 discontinued numbers included are: 504, 731, 776, 781, 806, 868, 971, 3773 and 16 bobbins between 3880 - 3895
SIZE:
Each bobbin measures 40mm(w) x 38mm(h) and can hold a full skein. They will fit in a variety of storage cabinets including the Bisley, DMC Vintage cabinet (NOT the petite version), Durable Varicolor and many others.
NB: we used to sell two different heights for the acrylic bobbins (40mm and 38mm tall), but to simplify production we now only offer the 38mm tall ones because they fit in a wider variety of storage cabinets. The width is the same, 40mm.
FOAM:
This listing includes the option to add the foam inserts for the 3 most popular cabinets:
1. Bisley 5 drawer (this is the one shown in the listing photos and video)
2. DMC Vintage cabinet
3. Durable Varicolor 5 drawer
We have other foam options available in our shop, if you'd prefer one of those just select 'No foam' option and add the ones you want instead.
We can also make custom sized foam inserts if you have a storage cabinet not already listed, just send us a message.
OTHER DETAILS:
- The bobbins are made from quality 3mm thick cast acrylic (manufactured by Pespex in the UK)
- There is a tolerance of (+ or - 0.5mm) in the thickness of the bobbin which is out of our control
- Although we try our very best to colour match there are variations in the dye lots of the thread so may not always be a perfect match.
- Each bobbin has a protective film on the back which we recommend removing before use, however it will not do any harm if left on.
