WHAT'S NEW:
We’ve changed the way we manufacture our white bobbins, moving from laser-cut cast acrylic to our new in-house moulding process. They still have the same Pip & Chip size, shape and style you know and love, but now have a smooth matte finish and beautifully rounded edges.
The quality is every bit as good as our original white acrylic bobbins — and in terms of finish, feel and consistency, we actually think they’re even better.
Each bobbin is moulded to a consistent 3mm thickness. Unlike cast acrylic, which can naturally vary slightly in thickness from sheet to sheet, the moulding process gives us much greater consistency from bobbin to bobbin.
The colour swatch and number are printed directly onto the bobbin, ensuring lasting clarity with no labels to lose or peel off. They are also ready to use straight out of the box, with no protective film to peel.
Our new manufacturing process allows us to produce the bobbins more efficiently and with less material waste, which means we can offer the full DMC set for £130, compared with £185 for our clear acrylic bobbins.
